City of Ormond Beach - Electrical Engineering Continuing Services Contract:
The City of Ormond Beach has selected John Searcy & Associates Inc. for a renewal of an electrical engineering continuing services contract.
The City of Ormond Beach in compliance and in accordance with the provisions of the Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act, Section 287.055, Florida Statues, and Section 287.057, Procurement of Contractual Services, Florida Statutes has awarded a continuing services contract to provide Professional Services in specific disciplines. The City has numerous municipal facilities, including existing buildings, parking lots, parks and recreation facilities, etc. Potential projects include upgrade and modification of existing exterior lighting; design of improvements to existing interior lighting; modifications to existing utility electrical systems; and design of new facilities such as parks and recreation facilities, municipal buildings, and utility facilities.

Duval County Public Schools – Electrical Engineering Continuing Services Contract:
The John Searcy and Associates team, (Rodriquez Architecture, LLC; Performance Engineering Group, Inc; and Michele M. Agee, P.A.) has been selected for an Electrical Engineering continuing services contract with Duval County Public Schools. John Searcy & Associates are pleased to have been selected for a fifth continuing contract with Duval County Public Schools.
The Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) continuing services contract is to provide Professional Services in specific disciplines for one year with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The firms selected under an annual contract will be responsible for assigned projects having estimated construction costs not exceeding the threshold amount of $2,000,000 or a planning or study activity of which the fee for professional services does not exceed $200,000. Continuing Contracts are for projects designated by Duval County Public Schools’ Office of Facilities Design and Construction (OFDC) per Florida Statutes 287.055 and 287.017.

JSA Re-Certified as a Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business
John Searcy & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that we have been re-certified by the City of Jacksonville as a Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business (JSEB) for 2017 – 2018.
JSEB’s Mission is to maximize procurement opportunities with City of Jacksonville registered certified Jacksonville Small and Emerging Businesses (JSEBs) as suppliers, prime contractors, and subcontractors of superior products and services to the citizenry of Duval County. We encourage the private sector and local government to aggressively engage with JSEB’s to develop productive business relationships leading to economic growth for the City.
The Program's Goals Are To:

JSA Provides Electrical Engineering Services for St. Patrick's Church and School Project
John Searcy and Associates was pleased to provide electrical engineering design services for the St. Patrick's Catholic Church and School project. Working with the team, managed by Sauer Incorporated, this comprehensive project included a large sanctuary and school buildings. Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency - Electrical Engineering Continuing Services
Contract:
John Searcy and Associates, Inc. has been awarded a continuing services contract for electrical engineering and consulting services for the GAINESVILLE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (“CRA”), CITY OF GAINESVILLE, and the CITY OF GAINESVILLE, d/b/a GAINESVILLE REGIONAL UTILITIES ("GRU").
The Community Redevelopment Agency is responsible for various redevelopment areas within the City of Gainesville which may include planning, designing, renovation, remodeling and/or construction; the City of Gainesville is responsible for Public Works and Facilities Maintenance; and Gainesville Regional Utilities owns and operates an electric system, natural gas system, water and wastewater system, a district energy system and telecommunication system combined as a single public community wide utility.

David Hunter joins JSA in October 2105
David Hunter has joined the firm of John Searcy and Associates, Inc. as Senior Electrical Engineer. Mr. Hunter graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and has 30 years of experience in all phases of electrical engineering analysis and design for power distribution, lighting, controls, circuiting, and communications. He has provided these engineering services for a wide range of building types including educational, commercial, institutional, medical, and governmental facilities.

Duval County Public Schools – Electrical Engineering Continuing Services
Contract:
The John Searcy and Associates team, R. Dean Scott,
Architect, Estrella Engineering, Inc. and Bowen Civil Engineering, Inc has been selected
for an Electrical Engineering continuing services contract with Duval County
Public Schools. In 2014, John Searcy and
Associates was pleased to have been selected for a fourth continuing contract with
Duval County Public Schools.
The Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) continuing services contract is to
provide Professional Services in specific disciplines for one year with an
option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The firms selected under an annual contract will be responsible for

State of Florida - Department of
Transportation
Since 2009,
John Searcy & Associates, Inc., has been qualified as a professional consultant
for projects in the following types of work: Group 7, 7.2 – Lighting. This
qualification is for minor projects only with fees estimated at below $250,000. The qualification is valid for one year and an application for renewal is
submitted on an annual basis.
Florida State University - Mechanical,
Electrical, Plumbing, Commissioning Continuing Services
Contract:

Developments has been selected for a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing
(MEP) engineering and commissioning continuing services contract with Florida
State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
Professional services for minor projects are required in the discipline of
mechanical/ electrical/ plumbing (MEP) engineering. Minor projects are specific
projects for construction, renovation, alterations or additions that have a
basic construction budget estimated to be $2,000,000 or less; or studies for
which the fee for professional services is $200,000 or less. Campus Service
contracts for minor projects provide that the consultant will be available on an
as-needed basis. In addition, firms are encouraged to include their professional
qualifications for commissioning and retro-commissioning. While not required for
selection, the University may include commissioning services within the scope of
the contracts for one or more of the selected firms. The University intends to
award multiple contracts for the upcoming fiscal year through June 30, 2012. At
the option of the University and the consultant, the contract may be renewed for
up to two additional one-year periods.
State of
Florida Continuing Services Contract for Northeast Florida:
The Performance Engineering Group team
including John Searcy and
Associates and EW Dunn Developments has been selected for a
Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering continuing services
contract with the State of Florida.
The State of Florida, Department of Management Services (DMS) continuing
services contract is to provide Professional Services primarily in the Northeast
Florida Region. These services may be used for projects anywhere in the State of
Florida, however, firms selected during this process will be activated for
projects in the Northeast part of the State. The Northeast Region is defined as
all counties north of and including Levy, Marion and Volusia and east of Taylor
and Madison Counties. A minimum of two (2) firms for the Northeast Florida
Region may be selected under this Continuing Contract and will be responsible
for assigned projects having estimated construction costs, planning or study
fees not exceeding the threshold amounts of $2,000,000.00 (construction) and
$200,000.00 (Planning or Study fees) respectively, provided for in Section
287.055, Florida Statutes. This contract will be for an initial period of two
(2) years with an option to renew for an additional two-year period.
City of Ormond Beach - Electrical
Engineering Continuing Services Contract:

and Associates, Inc. has been selected for an Electrical engineering continuing
services contract with the City of Ormond Beach, Florida.

both parties. The City has numerous

lighting; modifications to existing utility electrical systems; and design of
new facilities such as parks and recreation facilities, municipal buildings,
and
utility facilities.
School Board of Flagler County – Mechanical, Electrical &
Plumbing Engineering Continuing Contract – Various Projects
The John Searcy and Associates team, which includes Performance Engineering Group, has
been selected for an MEP Engineering continuing services contract with the School Board of Flagler County.
The School Board of Flagler County continuing services contract
is to provide Professional Services in specific disciplines for
one year with an option to renew for three additional one-year
periods. The firms selected under an annual contract will be
responsible for assigned projects having estimated construction
costs not exceeding the threshold amount of $2,000,000 or a
planning or study activity of which the fee for professional
services does not exceed $200,000. Continuing Contracts are for
projects designated by the School Board of Flagler County per
Florida Statute 287.055.
